The Environmental Valuation Laboratory (ENVALAB) is a research unit based at the University of Catania (Italy), Dipartimento di Scienze Economico-Agrarie ed Estimative ( DISEAE ).

ENVALAB undertakes high quality studies and research on the economic valuation of non-market goods, especially environmental resources and cultural heritage, and on other important topics of the environmental and natural resource economics.

ENVALB seeks to produce findings that are relevant not only to academic community, but also to policy-makers, officers, professionals, and stakeholders involved in the field of the preservation and sustainable management of natural resources and heritage assets.

To achieve these objectives, ENVALAB maintains contacts and engages in collaborative work and joint projects with leading international and national researchers and scholars, and qualified networks. 

ENVALAB publishes its preliminary research findings in the journal  "ENVALAB Working Papers" which is distribuited either in printed copy version (ISSN 1827-0603) or on line version (ISSN 1827-0581),

"ENVALAB Working Papers", edited by Giovanni Signorello, in on the Journal's Register of Tribunal of Catania (no. 34/2005), and complies with the Italian Law obligations on publishing.
